Van-Kel Irrigation was started by the Burnell family from Kelowna, BC, Canada. The Burnells have been in the irrigation business since 1969 when Vern and Verna Burnell started Burnell’s Turf Irrigation (BTI) Ltd. (see photos below). Vern’s passion for irrigation is well-known in the industry and has been passed on to the whole Van-Kel team. Since starting up all those years ago, we have installed and/or supplied irrigation products and equipment for a multitude of projects, working with cities, school boards and residential customers, not to mention supplying and/or installing irrigation for over 75 golf courses during that time!

We have been the authorized Toro Irrigation Distributor for most of BC since 1978 and recently became an authorized outlet for Rainbird Irrigation as well. Along with Toro, Irritrol and Rainbird, we carry the irrigation-related products to assist you with all your watering needs.
Many of those involved in the irrigation industry may still recall seeing the green trucks with BTI logos parked near many a school field or golf course. Nowadays you will see our white trucks with Your Irrigation Store, Van-Kel Irrigation on the doors. The trucks can be spotted around the province as we deliver product and work to service our customers to the best of our ability.
